The aim of this series papers is to present modern methods linguistics and language pedagogy concerning specific-purpose competences describe the English EU border guards need for their work international activities explore prospects improvement. first part discusses dilemmas methodology related definition competences, indispensable course design. second third parts wish prove that ongoing FRONTEX project entitled Communication Border Coast Guards very well illustrates how new approach needs analysis used define skills needed control in EU. Using authentic material provided by Common European Framework Reference Languages, author also makes an attempt ESP at various levels, work, according categories applied linguistics. discuss elementary intermediate (A2/B1) upper-intermediate (B2) EBG respectively.
